Forex weekend boundary in PKT
Under the published 2026 schedule, ordinary forex closes at 01:59 Saturday PKT in the US summer period and 02:59 Saturday PKT in winter. It reopens at 02:05 Monday PKT in summer and 03:05 Monday PKT in winter. USDCNH, USDTHB and certain ILS pairs have different schedules.
These conversions add five hours to UTC+0. Holiday hours and platform status remain controlling.
Rollover is not a session opening
Rollover normally begins Sunday–Thursday at 21:00 UTC in summer or 22:00 UTC in winter, which is 02:00 or 03:00 PKT on the following calendar day. Liquidity may be thinner, spreads can widen, swap may be applied and some operations can pause. London/New York overlap does not guarantee low spread during news or rollover.

- Choose EURUSD on a Standard MT5 demo.
- Record Bid, Ask and spread at 10:00, 13:00, 18:30 and 23:00 PKT.
- Repeat for five weekdays without opening unnecessary trades.
- Mark high-impact news and any holiday.
- Compare median spread and price range by observation window.
- Select a study window based on evidence, not a claim that one session is always “best”.
Maintenance and calendar checks
Exness publishes weekend maintenance windows and may notify users in PA. Maintenance can briefly affect trading, account visibility, transfers, deposits or withdrawals. Before a planned session, check the symbol status, official schedule, holiday notice and PA notification. The time shown on a MetaTrader chart can also follow server time rather than device time.
