Current official Pakistan warnings
SECP’s 9 April 2025 notice warns that offshore platforms offering forex, securities, commodities, options and other speculative products without Pakistani regulatory approval expose users to fraud and loss without local recourse. SBP’s 2022 circular letter states that remittance of foreign exchange to overseas forex, margin and CFD platforms is not allowed because no general or special permission had been granted. Rules can change, so verify the latest position before any payment.
Due-diligence sequence
- Read the current SECP authorised-broker lists and warnings.
- Check the latest SBP foreign-exchange circulars or ask an authorised dealer bank.
- Identify the broker entity and overseas regulator.
- Read the client agreement, complaint path and governing law.
- Confirm whether the proposed payment route is permitted from Pakistan.
- Obtain professional Pakistani legal advice if uncertainty remains.
- Do not deposit until all questions are resolved.

| Server selected by broker/account | Permission to remit funds abroad |
If you only need gold market practice
Use a demo account without transferring real funds, document XAUUSD contract size and execution, and learn position sizing. Demo practice does not resolve the legal question for a later real-money transfer; recheck current rules at that time.
