Risk comes first

CFDs use leverage and can cause substantial losses. Margin is collateral, not the maximum amount that can be lost.

EXNESS / PRODUCT GUIDE

How to trade Gold in Forex

XAUUSD on Exness is a CFD on the gold price, not a purchase of bullion. One standard lot represents 100 troy ounces and the minimum 0.01 lot represents one ounce of nominal exposure. Start with cash movement and invalidation distance—not the margin shown in the order ticket.

Cash-risk sizing

For XAUUSD, cash loss before costs = stop distance in USD per ounce × 100 × lots. If the entry is 2,350 and invalidation is 2,342, the distance is USD 8. At 0.01 lot, planned market loss is 8 × 100 × 0.01 = USD 8, before spread, commission, swap and slippage.

Pre-order checklist
